Model Trains in Montana

Will, Uncle Kit and Granddad resurrected Uncle Kit's (formerly Granddad's) model trains and brought them back to life over the course of several days. They're still as engaging to engineers of all ages as they were 40 (and 60!) years ago!

MoMath

We checked out the Museum of Math with Will's buddy, TJ. The boys were impressed by the strength of the geometric puzzle they put together (with the help of the museum guide), but their favorite activity was the wallpaper pattern reflection creation station (say that five times fast...) with electronic "paint!"

A Snowy Day for a Snow Leopard Sighting

Will and Daddy headed to the Central Park Zoo on a snowy Saturday morning hoping to see the snow leopards and they were not disappointed! That said, despite their name, apparently snow leopards like things a little warmer, too. See that rock that the male leopard is sitting on? Notice how there's no snow on it? That's because it's heated! Just the way the leopard likes it.
They also saw the new resident grizzly bears; however, they were not as willing to mug for the camera.

Gingerbread Skyscraper

Continuing our tradition of making gingerbread houses, Will approached this year's model NYC-style, constructing an Empire State Building-inspired gingerbread skyscraper at the Skyscraper Museum!

Monday's Child

Uncle Kit, who shares Will's birthday, went Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar on November 17th to celebrate his birthday this year. He made a special celebration wish for Will's 6th Birthday at the "Monday Corner," remembering that Will was born on a Monday! Uncle Kit is wearing a longyi for his pants, which is the traditional Burmese attire. Note the six candles and six incense sticks as well.

Bowling Is My Kind of Game

Will's first bowling excursion with his buddy Robbie reminded us of one of his favorite songs, The Bowling Game:

"On a good day, I throw a few strikes
Making some spares that's what I like
